Schedule updateThe Project25 record attempt is being rescheduled. A new Calgary date will be announced following confirmation from Guinness World Records.

The human reason

Every face is more than a memory.

Project25 centres dignity, relationship and the lives people continue to live.

A

portrait is more than a likeness. It is a record of presence: a person seen, recognised and held in community.

Memory may change. Personhood does not.

Project25 began with the sudden loss of Samuel Obadero’s mother and his ongoing experience as the primary caregiver for his father, who is living with Alzheimer’s disease. Losing his mother showed him how precious a face becomes when someone is gone; caring for his father has made him confront the gradual change of memory.

The project turns those experiences into visibility, dignity and action. The 10,000 portraits are intended to become a public archive of the people who stood beside families affected by dementia, with the final portrait intended to be Samuel’s father.

Our language principles

How Project25 will tell this story.

01

People before diagnosis

We speak about people living with dementia—not people reduced to dementia.

02

Dignity before drama

We will not use fear, disappearance or tragedy as shortcuts for attention.

03

Lived experience in the room

People living with dementia and care partners should inform content and event design.

Cause partnership

The beneficiary will be named only when the relationship is confirmed.

This section will introduce the registered charity partner, its work, the specific intended use of donations and the charity-controlled donation route.

To be confirmed: registered charity name, agreement and donation destination
