The person behind the lens
Samuel Obadero photographs people as participants in their own stories.
Samuel is a Calgary-based photographer and community storyteller with more than 20 years of experience capturing cultural, social and corporate stories through human-centred, narrative-driven imagery.
Born and raised in Lagos, Samuel moved to Calgary in 2018 and built a documentary-led practice rooted in connection, community and social advocacy. Project25 brings that work together with the sudden loss of his mother and his experience as a full-time caregiver for his father living with Alzheimer’s disease.
“I love people. I love to tell stories of people.”
